I'm not a developer by background — I'm a regular Muslim who saw my own circle (sisters and brothers in their 20s and 30s) struggling to find nikah the halal way. Muzz required payment just for replies. Aunties picked the wrong matches. Instagram DMs were chaos. So I taught myself, built, and launched Zawji on April 1, 2026. I built what I was missing myself.
Before Zawji I built the Nordic region's largest remote-work community — 21,000 members. That's where I learned what makes a community strong: moderation, clear identity, and that the founder must be inside the problem themselves. I carry that lesson into Zawji.
Zawji is built by a Muslim — for the ummah. No investor owns me. No VC dictates decisions. Every hour I put in is for the sake of Allah, inshaAllah. We prioritize halal principles first, revenue later. If Zawji helps ONE brother or sister find their right one, the entire journey was worth it.

No investor, no VC, no staff. I built Zawji solo as a Muslim for the ummah.
Auto-filter blocks private numbers, emails, and photos instantly. I review profiles and flagged messages once per day, personally. No bot replies. No algorithm that guesses.
Quran & Sunnah is the frame. Design decisions are tested against that, not against dating apps.

Zawji is run by Fuaad Nuur as a Muslim founder with a focus on halal principles. We plan to introduce premium features when we launch them and will communicate details separately.
If you help a brother or sister find their right one here — by sharing the platform, writing a success story, or inviting your mosque — it becomes sadaqa for you, inshaAllah. You don't need to seek nikah yourself to gain from it. Every nikah that happens via Zawji has a chain of helpers behind it. Be a link in the chain.
